I've been quietly taking a break from any new, 'real' podcast episodes this summer. Partly because I've been working on some other projects, and also because I've been getting prepped for interviews that are coming later this year. So today isn't a 'real' episode or whatever but I wanted to use the chance to drop some more music into your feed: the last seven months of Citizen Scientist releases.
Jazmine, Zach, Blake, Connor and Robert give me the rundown on their tour to the east coast. We talk about stopping to piss in Indiana, playing to like ten people in Brooklyn, and how no one pays attention to acoustic musicians.
My friend and old college roommate Jake asks me about my experiences as a creator and listener of music, and we discuss the changing landscape of musical consumption and connoisseurship.

I haven't found my voice yet. I'm twenty-five, which is awful — shouldn't I be farther along by now? But oh well. That's what Citizen Scientist is here for. It's a way for me to keep writing, to keep experimenting, to keep trying to stretch & strengthen my muscles without having to be perfect. Then someday, maybe, I'll appear as I want to appear.
